Seriously? How is it possible that politicians are so stupid ...

Apparently, ridiculous prejudice against homosexuals is not restricted to crazy, right wing American politicians, but is also present in Israel, a country that has no business being intolerant of anyone.

A member of the Israeli parliament, Shlomo Benizri, an MP in the ultra-orthodox Shas party, exhorted a committee to stop

Passing legislation on how to encourage homosexual activity in the state of Israel, which anyway brings about earthquakes.
Who knew? Apparently the recent earthquakes in the Middle East are not a result of geologic instability but a sign of divine displeasure with Israeli laws allowing legal homosexuality, which embarrassingly have only been in place since 1988. This means that in Israel, a tiny country that has been hated across the middle east for no reason other than the fact that state religion is different than the norm, it was illegal to simply have a sexual preference different from the norm.

Terrible.
