Often when we are driving, Aviva will ask people we are with about pee-powered cars. We are never exactly sure how the pee gets in the car, whether you have to deposit it or you just pee into the gas tank, but this is something she came up with along with her brother, and is occasionally rather fascinated by it. In her honor then, I draw your attention to this story, about poop powered lamps - apparently an artist at in Boston set up a lamp which allows you to pick up dog poop and deposit it in large tanks connected to a lamp. The methane released by the poop then powers the lamp ... its a meditation on waste ...
I think its a pretty cool idea, and you wonder if the next step is using our poop to power things? Perhaps a poop powered light in the bathroom?
